Chet Anderson, DVM is the original founder of
Peachtree Veterinary Clinic. His personal touch with
clients has helped him earn a reputation for being
one of the most well-respected Veterinarians in the
Maryland region. Dr.Anderson received his DVM
from the University of Georgia School of Veterinary
Medicine. Subsequently he founded a rural
veterinary clinic in Poolesville, Maryland, that
grew and expanded to become the precursor of
Peachtree Veterinary Clinic. His hobbies include
bird watching and spending time with his grand-
children.  He currently lives in Dickerson with his
wife Paula.

Dr. Kathleen Phillips is a native of Montgomery
County, having grown up in Rockville. Her quest to
become a veterinarian began in Kindergarten when she
created her own “Vet Pet Hospital”. She attended the
University of Delaware for her undergraduate degree in
biological sciences, then obtained her veterinary degree
in 2001 at Kansas State University. She completed a one
year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at
Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC.
Dr. Phillips then spent a year in general practice before
joining Dogs and Cats Veterinary Referral in Bowie, MD
to practice emergency medicine. Dr. Phillips worked at
Dogs and Cats Veterinary Referral for 6 ½ years. She
was in charge of the emergency service, managed the
internship program, and participated in much of the
marketing and public relations program. She spent 6
months working at Fox Chapel Veterinary Hospital in
Germantown, MD before joining the team Peachtree
veterinary clinic in December 2010. While Dr. Phillips
is knowledgeable in all areas of veterinary medicine,
she particularly enjoys internal medicine and nutrition.

Dr. Phillips and her husband, Kyer, live in Silver Spring
with their Weimaraner, Duncan, ther two Boston
Terriers, Wrigley and Archie, and thier two cats, Seamus
and Riley. Each year, Dr. Phillips and Duncan participate
in Carreer Day in our local elementary, middle and high
schools. She is an avid Capitals and Redskins fan, and
enjoys gardening, hiking, and most other outdoor
activities.

Clarivel Salazar, DVM was born and raised in Puerto
Rico.  She received her B.S. in Animal Science graduating
Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico. While
in veterinary school at the University of Tennessee College
of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Salazar completed her M.S.
degree in Reproduction and Immunology.  She also worked
as an Emergency Nurse at the UTCVM hospital, gaining
extensive experience in Emergency Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Salazar earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Degree in 2004. Upon graduation she worked as a General
Practitioner in Florida, but following her interest in Small
Animal Emergency Medicine she started practicing at the
Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Florida.  Dr.
Salazar also worked as a General Practitioner in the area of
Silver Spring, Maryland and at Greenbriar, as an
Emergency and Critical Care doctor. Dr. Salazar joined
Peachtree Veterinary Clinic in 2010.  She has a special
interest in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Feline
Medicine and Surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Salizar enjoys spending time with her
family, painting, photography, cooking and traveling.

Lisa Gubenia, LVT -Practice Manager
graduated from Michigan State University in1992. She
worked in oncology until April 2008 when she joined
the staff at Peachtree as a licensed veterinary
technician. Lisa was promoted to Practice Manager in
November 2009. When not at work, she loves to help
with rescuing animals of any and all kinds. “Working at
Peachtree has been a great career choice for me. I love
the small town atmosphere but am proud to be part of
the high quality of medicine and customer care that we
practice”. Lisa lives in Damascus and her family consists
of 2 boys, 6 dogs, 3 cats, a horse and her husband Steve
who was deployed to Iraq for two years in November
2010.
